St. Francis of Assisi School proudly hosted the CISCE Zonal Level Taekwondo Tournament on 25th July 2025. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from numerous young martial artists displaying exceptional skill, discipline, and sportsmanship.
The tournament was grandly inaugurated by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Jeson, alongside Vice Principal Rev. Fr. Stanis Lopes and the esteemed panel of referees.
The programme commenced with a graceful prayer dance, setting an energetic and positive tone for the day. Following the invocation, Principal Rev. Fr. Jeson and Vice Principal Rev. Fr. Stanis Lopes delivered the welcome addresses, encouraging the competitors to play with fairness, resilience, and true sporting spirit.
Throughout the day, students fiercely showcased their agility, self-defense techniques, and tactical prowess on the mats. The matches were intensely contested, with participants demonstrating rigorous training and remarkable talent, much to the appreciation of the audience and officials.
The tournament successfully concluded with a valedictory session celebrating the participants' dedication and hard work, marking another proud milestone in St. Francis of Assisi School’s calendar.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) organized the Fr George Hess Memorial Literary Competition at the zonal level on Thursday, 25 June 2026, at Sayyid Akbar Husayni School, Kalaburagi, and Aryabhatta International Academy, Yadgir. Our students participated with great enthusiasm and brought laurels to the school through their outstanding performances. In Painting; Junior category, Saanvi Musandi Winner, Sub-Junior, Srushti Magennavar, II Runner-up. Creative Writing; Junior category, Sakshi Chougale Winner. Story Telling; Sub-Junior category, Khushi Kurani, I Runner-up. Poem writing; Junior category, Vaishnavi Kore, II Runner-up. Declamation; Sub-Junior category, Suhani Rahul Patil II Runner-up. Debate; Junior category, Ananya Kareppagol and Samruddhi Bhajantri, II Runner up. Quiz; Junior category, Anany Hargapure and Pratham Varadai, II Runner-up and Sub Junior; Bhargav Nilajagi and Komali Charan II Runner-up.

We are delighted to announce that Ms Sakshi Chougula and Ms Sanvi Musandi have qualified to represent the school at the State Level Competition. The State Level Competition will be held on Saturday, 1 August 2026, at St. Francis School, Hongasandra, Bengaluru.
St. Francis of Assisi School, Chikodi, successfully organized a Colouring Competition for the Pre-Primary section on Thursday, 25 June 2026, with the objective of fostering creativity, imagination, and artistic expression among its young learners.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students, who displayed their colouring skills with great interest, dedication, and confidence. It provided an excellent platform for children to develop their fine motor skills, enhance their creativity, and express themselves through colours in a joyful and engaging environment.
Every participant showcased remarkable enthusiasm and originality, making the competition both enjoyable and inspiring. The event concluded on a cheerful note, with appreciation for the efforts of all the young participants.
The Colouring Competition was a resounding success and reflected the school's continued commitment to nurturing creativity, self-expression, and the holistic development of every child.
St. Francis of Assisi School organized a Parents' Meeting on 20 June 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the school auditorium. The programme featured Rev. Fr. Arun Lobo as the resource person, who delivered an insightful talk on the theme, "Responsible Parenthood in the Present Scenario."
In his address, Fr. Arun emphasized the pivotal role of parents in fostering a stress-free learning environment, instilling discipline, and guiding children towards the responsible use of social media and digital devices. His practical suggestions and engaging presentation were well received by the 632 parents who attended the programme.
Following the keynote address, the Principal, Rev. Fr. Jeson, presented the comprehensive school report. He outlined the school's academic roadmap, highlighted major achievements, shared the calendar of upcoming events, and elaborated on the developmental and infrastructural initiatives planned for the current academic year. His presentation reflected the institution's commitment to academic excellence and holistic development.
The meeting concluded with an interactive Question-and-Answer session, during which parents actively shared their feedback, sought clarifications, and engaged in meaningful discussions with the school administration. The programme came to a close with a formal vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the management, the resource person, the teaching and non-teaching staff, and the parents for their wholehearted participation and continued support in the school's mission.
Our school proudly organized Creative Expression Fest on 13/06/26, for the class 1st to 10th standard. A celebration of creativity, imagination, and talent. The competition encouraged students to showcase their artistic, literary, and public speaking skills through a variety of competitions.
The competition such as Pencil Art competition, Drawing Competition, Poem Writing Competition, and Storytelling Competition . Students created impressive pencil sketches that demonstrated their observation, shading, and artistic skills. Students expressed their ideas and creativity through vivid and unfiltered drawings. Students also wrote authentic poems that reflected their thoughts, emotions, and imagination. Furthermore, in the storytelling competition, participants confidently narrated interesting and inspiring stories, displaying excellent speaking and vocabulary skills.
The competitions were a great success and provided students with an excellent opportunity to develop their talents, build confidence, and enjoy healthy competition.
