St Francis of Assisi School celebrated 75th Independence Day of India with pomp of flaming colours. The chief guest, Rev. Dr. Fr. John Alwyn Dias, the Provincial Minister of Holy Trinity Province, Karnataka and the President of Capuchin Friars Service Society, Karnataka and guests of honour Rev. Fr. Elvin Lopez and Rev. Fr. Vincent D’souza were welcomed with an aarathi, School band and showering of flowers by the students. At 8am Rev. Dr Fr John Alwyn Dias unfurled the national flag of our country. To mark the day the students from classes nursery to X Std performed various programmes highlighting the importance of the day. The chief guest addressed the gathering and gave a clarion call to sacrifice ourselves to glorify and make India soar high in every way.
