TODAY’S FRESHERS, TOMORROW’S LEADERS
St. Francis of Assisi School celebrated Fresher’s Day and the Investiture Ceremony on Friday, 12 June 2026, with great enthusiasm and grandeur. The programme was organized to welcome new students from Pre-Nursery to Class IX, along with the newly appointed teaching staff, and to officially install the Student Parliament for the academic year 2026–27. The freshers and new staff members were escorted into the school premises by the school band amidst a shower of flower petals and a vibrant welcome dance. The new academic year was inaugurated by Fr Jeson Fernandes, who hoisted the school flag and lit the ceremonial lamp along with Fr Stanis Lopes, a student representative, and a teacher representative. As a special gesture of welcome, the new students were presented with badges, while the newly appointed staff members were warmly received with bouquets of flowers.
The Investiture Ceremony was then conducted for the newly elected Student Parliament. The oath of office was administered by the Principal and Vice Principal to the members of the Student Parliament. The student leaders solemnly pledged to discharge their duties with sincerity, discipline, dedication, and responsibility. The programme marked a meaningful beginning to the new academic year, inspiring students to embrace leadership and service with commitment and integrity.
