IN RIMJHIM RAIN TRIRANGA FLEW HIGH
With grandeur, pomp, and trumpets, St. Francis of Assisi School celebrated the 79th Independence Day in the Assisi campus. Students from Nursery to Class X radiated patriotic spirit, proving that even the rain could not dampen their love and respect for the motherland.
Children danced to patriotic songs, delivered powerful speeches on the significance of freedom, and took the audience back through the history of India’s independence with creative enactments. The gathering applauded the zeal, enthusiasm, and reverence of the students. The rhythmic march-past drew a thunderous wow from the onlookers, while the little champs’ speeches and anchoring left the spectators amazed.
The Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Joel Minin Lopez, Professor and Administrator of Darshan Institute of Theology, Bangalore, reminded everyone: “True patriotism is not only saluting the flag, but also standing for what it stands for. It is not only remembering our martyrs, but also living in a way that makes their sacrifice worthwhile.” His inspiring message awakened in all the resolve to make India a beautiful place for every citizen.
On this occasion, achievers were felicitated: Shizan and Vihaan (National Award winners in Swachh Bharat competition), Janisha and Aaradhya (State-level athletes), along with Tanushree, Manasa, Rituja, Azim, and Arman (State-level champions and Khelo India winners).
The day’s cultural performances, steeped in history and patriotism, ignited inspiration to build a stronger, healthier, and brighter India.
