“INTO THAT HEAVEN OF FREEDOM MY FATHER LET MY COUNTRY AWAKE”.
St Francis of Assisi School proudly celebrated 78th Independence Day in the School Premises. Celebration began with welcoming the Chief guest and other guests through aarati, march past and school band. As soon as guests arrived on the stage festive moment started with the prayer dance and welcoming the guests. Thereafter SPL of the school Master Pawan Kumar requested the Chief Guest Rev Fr Adarsh Rodrigues OCD to hoist the flag of our country. After hoisting the flag, with all enthusiasm and respect gathered parents, teachers, children and well-wishers saluted the flag and sang the National Anthem of our country. Special and beautiful march past captured the audience eyes. “We need to be free from which binds us. We need to respect the freedom of others. Follow the constitution of the country and live the life of freedom. Spirit of our freedom fighters should always burn in our lives to work dutifully for the country”, was the powerful message from the Rev Fr Adarsh Rodrigues, the Chief Guest. State level winners were awarded with medals and certificates. Cultural programme showcased different themes like; Life of Mahatma Gandhi, Incredible India, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Kittur Rani Chennamma, Sangoli Rayanna, Onake Obavva, Life of Soldiers, Life of Bhagat Singh, Subash Chandra Bhose, Unity in Diversity, Jallian Wala Bhag, etc..., speeches and anchoring of little children filled everyone with awe. Patriotic spirit of children from Nursery to X std was appreciated by the audience. Programme was concluded with the distribution of sweets to all people.
